Philip Puckett

PHILIP PUCKETT, 65, of Sidney, passed away at 5:15 PM Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on February 16, 1953 in Saltville, Virginia, the son of the late Ira Puckett and Gladys (O'Quinn) Puckett who survives in Pemberton.

On March 6, 1976 he married Deborah Swiger, who survives him, along with two children, Drew (Shavon) Puckett, and Jenna (Nick Gariety) Puckett of Maplewood; four grandchildren, Cale, Jace and Lily Puckett, and Riley Spradlin; and two siblings, Dan Puckett of Pemberton, and Cathy Lenhart of Cridersville.  He was preceded in death by brother, Joe Puckett.

Philip was a graduate of Fairlawn High School, class of 1971.  He was retired from Jacobs Engineering where he worked as a warehouse supervisor.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and in his younger days playing softball.  Philip was an avid sports fan.  He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes, and attending all of his grandchildren's various sporting events.  Philip was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Lisa Lust officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice Care in Philip's memory.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Puckett family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
