PASTOR RALPH ELMER STALLARD, 81, of Sidney, passed away at 3:35 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Meadowview, Virginia, the son of the late Montie Cubine and Trula (Johnson) Stallard.
On February 12, 1955 he married Mary M. Johnson, who survives along with three children, Jerry (Terry) Stallard of LaMarque, TX, Gary (Evelyn) Stallard of Houston, Judy (Doug) Thobe of Russia; son-in-law, David (Annett) Roeth of Houston; eight grandchildren, Rachel Kunert, Leslie Roeth, Bethany Roeth, Leann Brandewie, Jacob Thobe, Kyle Stallard, Brian Smith, and Deanna Filyaw; twelve great-grandchildren; and nine siblings, Pauline (Stewart) Thomas, Eunice Suber, Marie (Clarence) Rice, R.L. (Melba) Stallard, Carl (Sandy) Stallard, Glen (Pat) Stallard, Betty (Jimmy) Price, Linda (Sonny) Gregory, and Tony (Debbie) Stallard. He was preceded in death by daughter, Teresa Roeth.
Ralph was the retired pastor of Full Gospel Community Church after serving there for more than 27 years. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed gardening. Ralph cherished his grandchildren, all of whom will miss him greatly along with all of his family, church family and friends.
Ralph was a member of Crossroad Church of God in Piqua, where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Jerry Wilson and Pastor Jeff Hill officiating. Burial will follow Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, and on Friday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Crossroad Church of God or Full Gospel Community Church.
