Pastor David Patrick Moran

PASTOR DAVID PATRICK MORAN, 61, of 668 Ridgeway Drive passed away at 7:00 AM Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on August 30, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late David and Floris (Wolfe) Moran.

On December 7, 1974 he married Sherry Elaine Walker, who survives him along with their son, Ryan (Sarah) Moran of Westerville; two grandchildren, Rylan and Ruthie Moran; two brothers, Edward (Lynn) Moran of Columbus, and Doug Moran of Newark; and sister, Kathy (Gary) Wiseman of Colorado.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Adam Moran. 

David served as pastor for Sidney Baptist Church for 23 years.  He was a member of the Sidney Ministerial Association and also a member of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.  Dave's passion was living his life in a way that led others to a relationship with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Upon discovering his illness, his immediate response to his family was that The Lord could use this to teach us something, and his desire was that it could be used to reach someone with the truth of salvation through Christ, and to bring Him glory.  He had a tremendous love for children which led him and Sherry to foster several children over the years.  He was a devoted husband, father, papaw, foster papaw and pastor.  He will be missed greatly by his family, church family, neighbors and friends. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 9, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Sidney Baptist Church with Pastor John Butts and Pastor Earnie Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Sidney Baptist Church in Dave's memory.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Moran family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
