Michael Eugene Fahnestock

MICHAEL EUGENE FAHNESTOCK, age 57 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 1:35 AM at Wilson Health. He was born on June 30, 1961 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Jack and Barbara (Layman) Fahnestock.

On June 25, 1983 Michael married Lori Johnson who survives along with their two children, Michelle (Chris) Brown of Covington, and Dylan Fahnestock of Sidney, three brothers, Brant (Deb) Fahnestock, Ken (Jill) Fahnestock both of Sidney, and Wayne (Toni) Fahnestock of Bellefontaine, two grandkids, Kaydee and Jasmine Brown, in-laws, Gene and Marilyn Johnson of Sidney and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Mr. Fahnestock was a 1980 Sidney High School graduate. He spent his entire working career at Ross Aluminum Castings as a moulder.

Mike was a hard worker and a great cook, making the best rhubarb pie around. He loved fishing, going to flea markets, sports, racing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Pastor John Young officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM.
