Melba Jane (Tidwell) Copeland

MELBA JANE (TIDWELL) COPELAND, 82, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 1:20 PM at her daughter's residence in Tipp City. She was born on April 25, 1937 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Matison and Margaret (Block) Tidwell.

She is survived by four children, David Clark, Pam (Betty Swob) Clark, Kimberly (Mike) Hindenlang and Deborah (Dan) Girod; eighteen grandchildren; thirty four great-grandchildren and three siblings, Norman Tidwell, Brenda Mason and Carolyn Deal. Melba was preceded in death by son, Philip Clark and two sisters, Lois Roach and Janet Keith.

Melba retired after many years from Hardin-Houston School as a Cook. She enjoyed fishing, listening to country music and playing cards especially Euchre. Melba was very proud of saying she was a breast cancer survivor. She loved her family and especially enjoyed being around all her grandkids.

Graveside Services will be held Monday September 9, 2019 at 10 AM at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney, Ohio with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Health Hospice 915 W. Michigan St Sidney, Ohio 45365 in Melba's honor.
