Marvin C. Hinds

MARVIN C. HINDS, 79, of Sidney, passed away at 8:05 AM Monday, May 14, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on February 5, 1939 in Panaca, Nevada, the son of the late Marvin and Winifred (Cutler) Hinds.

On November 19, 1983 he married Katherine Navarro, who survives him along with thirteen children, forty-nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three sisters.  He was preceded in death by one sister. 

Mr. Hinds was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He was a retired union electrician with more than 45 years in the trade.  In his leisure he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Marvin was also a gifted musician.  He could play guitar, bass and was quite the singer as well.  He also loved dancing, family get-togethers and barbeques.  Marvin was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, with officiant Brother James Van Luven from Bishoprich of the Sidney Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Burial with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps. will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hinds family at the funeral home's website, www.cromesfh.com
