Marie Jean Bradford

MARIE JEAN BRADFORD, 83, lifelong resident of Indian Lake, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones.  "Jeanie" made the trip to heaven on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 3:05 PM.

She was born on November 15, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Albert and Marie (Frisz) Asebrook.  She had a brother, Bud Asebrook and a great-grandson, William Rice Bradford who preceded her in death.

Jeanie was introduced to her lifelong partner at the Indian Lake Danceland and married Rice E. Bradford on February 27, 1954.  She is survived by a family who loved her dearly.  Her husband, Rice; five children, Kimberly Bradford-Mason, Bari Bradford, both of Russells Point, Brian (Deb) Bradford of Chicago, IL, Brooks (Amy) Bradford of Dallas, TX, Becky (Steve) Zorn of Lakeview; ten grandchildren, Sloan Shearer, Bradford Shearer, Brennen Bradford, Brett Bradford, Bailey Bradford, Dax (Karen) Bradford, Field (Rachel) Bradford, Brooks Elizabeth Bradford, Evan Zorn, Ethan Zorn; six great-grandchildren, Kyler, Caysen, Kinsler, Tucker and Rowan Bradford, and Katie Shearer.

Jeanie was an avid gardener, reader and cook, and in her earlier years the best looking gas "boy" that Brad's Boats ever had on Indian Lake.  She loved crossword puzzles and the more difficult they were the better.  She was a full time volunteer at the former Elks Lodge in Russells Point and her baked goods were the highlight of the bingo events.  She enjoyed watching the Buckeyes and was always current with the team's schedule and stats.  Jeanie was also very passionate about following her grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
