Lina "Faye" DeMarcus

LINA FAYE DEMARCUS, 73, of Sidney passed at 12:23 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital.  She was born on August 1, 1944 in West Liberty, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John and Virgil (Pack) Young.  On November 11, 1970 she married Billy Joe DeMarcus who preceded her in death on October 12, 2009. 

Faye is survived by three children, Thomas "Tommy" (Michele) DeMarcus, Allen (Julietta) Adkins, and Jeanette (Adkins) Stephens; one brother, Russell Young, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and dear friends, Donna Mullins and Louise Poore.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers. 

Faye was a retired supervisor from the former Copeland Corporation where she worked for more than 25 years.  She loved to get dressed up and go out with friends, dancing and playing cards.  She also enjoyed cooking.  Faye was a proud grandmother, and more than anything enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and the rest of her family. 

A Celebration of Life will be held for Faye at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Calvary United Baptist Church, 9480 County Rd. 25A S., Sidney, with Pastor Dave Shepherd officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.  Condolences may be expressed to the DeMarcus family at the funeral home's website, www.cromesfh.com
