Kyle Edward Smart

Kyle Edward Smart, age 37 of Spring Grove, IL,  passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home.  He was born July 15, 1981 in Sidney, Ohio to Charles and Julie (Howell) Smart.

Kyle was a graduate of Grant High School in Fox Lake, Class of 2000.  Kyle was very handy.  He could build or fix anything around the home and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need.  Kyle loved family, friends, the ocean and fishing.  He was a great cook and friends knew he'd always have something to share on his homemade smoker.  Kyle had a great zest for life and was loved by all who knew him.

Kyle is survived by his parents; his longtime love, Alexis Christensen; a brother, Aaron (Jamie) Smart; nephew, Tyler and niece, Reagan; his maternal grandmother, Syble Andrews; maternal grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. James Howell; and many family members in Ohio.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Tina; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smart.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jonathan Schriber officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 PM until the time of service.  Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
