Kathleen Anderson

Kathleen Mary Anderson, 83, of Sidney was born in Tiffin, Ohio on April 6, 1935, daughter to the late Carl and Pearl (Wolford) McCoy, and sister to the late Naomi Huffman and Carol Gustin, who survives.

She met Donald E. Anderson in high school and he asked her to prom as their first date. After graduation she attended Flower Hospital School of Nursing and he joined the U.S. Marines and she waited for him to come home. They were married on September 14, 1957.

She cared for 38 foster children, adopting Ronald and Jo.  She loved cats and gardening and became a Master Gardener. She attended the Hardin United Methodist church.

Kathleen went home to Jesus August 8, 2018, where she is again waiting on Don to come home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Rev. Jack Chalk officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Kathleen will be cremated.  Don and Jo will be taking her ashes to Tiffin to be spread on her parents' graves.

Along with her husband Donald, and sister, Carol, she is survived by children, Ron and Jo Anderson; three granddaughters Mary Kathleen, Robin and JoHana; and one great-granddaughter, Sydney.
