Julia Ann (Davis) Cost

JULIA ANN (DAVIS) COST, 77 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 10:58 AM at her home. She was born on July 4, 1940 in Lockington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Davis.

On June 10, 1961 Julia married Eldon L. Cost who survives along with their three daughters, Beverly (Dave) Paxson of Versailles, Elaine (Mike) Stump of Rossburg, and Jennifer (Chad) Bumgarner of Sidney, five grandchildren, Danielle (Michael) Kuck, Brandon Stump, Dustin (Marissa) Stump, Avery and Allison Bumgarner, and one sister, Carol "Susie" (Lacy) Mayse of Lockington. She was preceded in death by one son, Brian Lee Cost, and nine siblings, Clara (Byron) Brewer, Mabel (Frank) Pearson, Jack (Mary) Davis, Ned (Lorene) Davis, Lois Yearsley, Laura (Clifford) Phillis, Miriam (William) Swob, Roy (Mary) Davis, and Nancy Ross.

Mrs. Cost was a 1958 graduate of Houston High School. She was a member of Lockington New Beginnings Church. Julia was a devoted wife, beloved mother, and wonderful grandmother. She gave her all to her family and will be sorely missed by every life she touched.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Alan Krahulek officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
