JOHN WALLACE MASTELLER, 70, of Sidney, passed away at 11:55 PM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on September 23, 1946 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Wallace and Jeanne (Butterlin) Masteller. 

On November 18, 1967 he married Lizabeth "Beth" Sanders, who survives him along with two sons, Tom (Shannon) Masteller of Pittsburg, PA, and Danny (Ellen) Masteller of Nashville, IN; three grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren and Rachel Masteller; one brother, Mike (Mary) Masteller of Sidney; and three sisters, Evelyn (Charlie) Kuhn of St. Louis, MO, Claire (John) Beyoglides of Dayton, and Lisa (Rich) Viertel of Columbus.  He was preceded in death by one brother.

John worked in construction and served as a bridge superintendent for many years throughout the state of Ohio.  Following retirement, he was owner and operator of Lazy B Farm & Excavating.  John was a member of the Sidney Moose Lodge and Carpenters Union.  In his free time, he enjoyed bicycling, golfing and fishing, but most of all spending time with his wife and family whom he loved dearly. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Rev. Joe F. Pumphrey officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice Care in John's memory.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Masteller family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
