James Allen "Trigger" Richards

JAMES ALLEN "TRIGGER" RICHARDS, 82, of Sidney, passed away at 9:40 PM Friday, October 6, 2017 at Wilson Health.  He was born on April 15, 1935 in Henry County, Indiana, the son of the late James Alfred and Ethel (Dewees) Richards.

On October 23, 1954 he married Arbadella Kidd, his wife of 63 years, who survives him along with three children, Rebecca (Gary) Daniels, Debra (Scott) Thomas, both of Sidney, and Della (Steven) Duckett of Piqua; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Walter (Linda) Richards, and Thomas Richards.  He was preceded in death by two children, James Allen Richards, Jr., and John Edward Richards; two brothers, Samuel Richards and Curtis Richards; and one sister, Ethel "Jane" Teel. 

Mr. Richards was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers having made many jumps.  He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Dayton for 30 years as a delivery driver.  After retiring from Coca-Cola, he worked for Fiebergers in Conover as a semi driver.  Trigger enjoyed fishing and playing games on his computer.  Most of all, he enjoyed his grandkids and great-grandkids.     

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Rev. Harold McKnight officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of servcie at the funeral home.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to Richards family at the funeral home's website, www.cromesfh.com
