Gloria Joan Harrison

GLORIA JOAN HARRISON, 67, of Sidney, passed away at 3:00 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Hospice of Miami County. She was born on January 8, 1951 in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Rev. Ronald and Irene (Marchio) Harrison.

Gloria is survived by daughter, Nicolle (David) Marchus of Sidney, and son, Joseph (Missy) Bowers of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Lex Marchus, Evan Marchus, Oliver Marchus, Sophie Moreland, and Nicholas Moreland; and sisters, Glenda (Doug) Stangel, Peggy (Pastor Earnie) Jones, and Gayla (Bob) Carity.

Ms. Harrison was retired from the former Copeland Corp. in Sidney. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sidney where she served for many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was a Girl scout leader for more than a decade as well as an avid bowler throughout her life.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff and nurses at Hospice of Miami County for the amazing care and compassion they gave to Gloria during her final days.

A gathering of family and friends celebrating the life of Gloria will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. At 1:00 PM the celebration will continue with an opportunity for Gloria's loved ones to share stories with a prayer by Pastor Earnie Jones to conclude.
