George Heatherly

GEORGE L. HEATHERLY, 77, of Sidney, passed away at 10:07 am on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at The Pavilion. He was born on November 21, 1939 in LaFollette, Tennessee, the son of the late John and Nannie Belle (Bailey) Heatherly.

On April 14, 1984 George married the former Lillian Riley and she survives along with six children; Theresa Hammons, Wayne (Yvonne) Hammons, Vivian Smith, Donna (Mark) Strunk, Edie Heatherly and Michael (Angelia) Heatherly, 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty Hughes and one brother, Bill (Dorothy) Heatherly. He was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Mr. Heatherly was retired from Copeland Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and watching sports. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.

George attended World Missions for Christ where Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 with Rev. Mark Strunk officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 am until hour of service.
