Everett Waters Jr.

EVERETT WATERS JR., 82, of Dublin formerly of Sidney / The Villages, Florida passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 1:18 AM at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born on January 16, 1936 in Parkers Lake, Kentucky, the son of the late Everett and Desda Oma (Young) Waters Sr.  On January 28, 1990, Everett married the former Luerenda Dickens Reed Waters, who survives.

He is survived by two children, Deborah (Brek) Wildermuth of Dublin and Wesley Darrin Waters of Fort Loramie; four grandchildren, Kirsten, Payton, Selene and Racin; two siblings, Joeann Standley of Galion and Jerry (Sue) Waters of Richwood; two step-children, Mark (Sharon) Reed and Sue Reed of Cooksville, MD and one step-grandchild, Ashley. Everett was preceded in death by his wife, the former Janet Louise Stilwell and sister, Kathleen Stilwell.

Mr. Waters retired from the Standard Oil Company/BP in Sidney as an Owner/Operator of Waters & Son. He was a graduate of the class of 1954 of Pocahontas High School in Pocahontas, VA. Everett was proud of his recent accomplishment of a Hole in One at the Tierra Del Sol Country Club in The Villages, Florida.  He was a Condo Association Officer for many years in which he was part of the welcoming committee. Everett was a former member of the First Christian Church in Sidney.

A Graveside Service will be held at Shelby Memory Gardens Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 AM with Pastor James Alter officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association PO Box 15120 Chicago, IL 60693 or American Cancer Society 2808 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH 45206 in Everett's honor.
