Donna L. Short

DONNA L. SHORT, 95, of Sidney passed away at 7:20 AM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love.  She was born on February 19, 1922 in Anna, Ohio, the daughter of the late Jacob and Emma (Zwiebel) Heiland.  On September 1, 1943 she married Gordon B. Short, who preceded her in death February 19, 1992.

Donna is survived by four children, Barbara (Steve) Drake of Ft. Myers, FL, Gloria Klopfenstein of West Milton, OH, Gregory (Belinda) Short of Springfield, OH, and David (Melinda) Short of Venice, FL; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alvina Brandt of Kettlersville, OH.  She was preceded in death by son, Ricki Short; three brothers, Roy, Wilbur and Clarence; and four sisters, Lura, Norma, Hilda and Julia. 

Donna was a life-time member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in Anna.  She was a homemaker and worked as a beautician out of her home for 20 years.  Donna was also active in the Sidney Senior Center and the Blood Mobile at her church. 

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Amos Chapel at Ohio Living Dorothy Love with Rev. Jane Madden officiating.  A Private Committal at Pearl Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to Sidney Senior Center, Hospice of Miami Valley, or Ohio Living Dorothy Love in Donna's memory.  Envelopes will be available at the service.  Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made to the Short family at the funeral home's website, www.cromesfh.com
