Dennis Lee Stephens

DENNIS LEE STEPHENS, 58 of Deltona, FL. formerly of Sidney, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home in Florida. He was born in Sidney, Ohio on August 16, 1959 to Charles and Wanda Stephens.  

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee Stephens and grandparents Anthony & Margaret (Abbott) Jones and Henry & Gladys (Elmore) Stephens.   He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Thompson Stephens, mother Wanda Stephens Watkins & step-father Emerson Watkins; son Chad Stephens (Carli), of Osteen, Florida & daughter Toni Fair (Matthew) of Debary, Florida; two adored grandsons, Cade Stephens and Landon Fair; sisters Star Shepherd (David) of Sidney, Ohio,  Melinda Griffith (Duane) of Osteen, Florida & Cindy Coverstone (David) of Sidney, Ohio; step- brothers Rich Watkins (Julie), Steve Watkins (Nora); step-sister Annette Bell; step-children Nicole Frost, Michael Winstead & Savannah Henry; step grandchildren Steven, Loni, Madison, Cole, Justina, Wyatt & Trenton and Willow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dennis was employed by Wal-Rose Inc for more than 20 years and was valued as a Superintendent and Project Manager. He was proficient in the operation of any heavy equipment and excelled at all. He was loved and respected by his fellow employees and will be greatly missed.  It is a tremendous loss as a co-worker but especially as a friend.  Dennis was also a talented artist and loved playing the guitar.

A Celebration of Dennis' life will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church of Geneva, Geneva, Florida where Dennis was a member. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Calvary United Baptist Church in Sidney, Ohio with interment following at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
