David Merle Epley

DAVID MERLE EPLEY, 69, of Sidney, passed away at 9:00 AM Monday, March 5, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on October 13, 1948 in Troy, Ohio, the son of the late Marvin Francis and Harriet Ruth (Rudisill) Epley. 

In July of 1973 he married Earlene Cantrell, who survives along with three children, Serlene (Nazario) Orozco, Betsy Maynard and Earlene Epley, all three of Sidney; eight grandchildren, Cecilia Trujillo, Gabino Trujillo Jr., Marco and Lucas Orozco, Dedrah Topp, Mitchell Maynard Jr., James and Faith Moorehead; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Emma Topp; and siblings, Isabelle Corner of Sidney, Gail Epley of Dayton, Randy Epley of Troy, and Sam Epley of Sidney.  He was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Applegate; and brothers, Bill, Larry, Scott and Gene Epley.

David was retired from Pender Brothers Plumbing of Beaufort, South Carolina.  He was a hard worker, a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with Harold McKnight officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, Ohio.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Condolences may be expressed to the Epley family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
