CLAY R. MURPHY, 60 of Troy, formerly of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 9:57 PM at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born on September 17, 1956 in Marshes Siding, Kentucky, the son of the late Harvey and Adeline (Lynch) Murphy.
He is survived by two children, Sabrina Murphy, and Daniel Murphy both of Sidney, one brother, Jimmie Murphy of Celina, one sister, Karen (Dannie) Stephens of Pemberton, four grandchildren, Chayenne Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Xavier Lovette and Alana Grant, and one great-grandchild, Jaxxon. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Lontz.
Mr. Murphy was a 1976 graduate of Hardin Houston High School. Following graduation he served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1976 to 1980. He retired as an engineer from Honda of America in Anna.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney.
