Charlene S. (Sharkey) Causseaux

CHARLENE S. CAUSSEAUX, 91, of Sidney, OH formally of Living Waters, Balsam Grove, NC and Tallahassee, FL, went to her Heavenly home at 12:15 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1927 in Oloh, Mississippi to the late Charlie and Lois (Collins) Sharkey. She married her high school sweetheart, Orlis Causseaux July 31st, 1945.

Charlene was preceded in death by husband, Orlis Causseaux; brother-in-love, Wilson Yawn; son, Larry Causseaux; grandson, B.J. Toal and granddaughter, Rachel Toal.

Charlene is survived by her brother, Bobby (Paola) Sharkey of Ocala, FL;  sister-in-love, Patsy Yawn of Florida; two nephews, Lee and Brent Yawn of Florida; daughters, Jan Denkert of Sylva, NC, Cheryl Duffey of Balsam Grove, NC, Barbara (Richard) Lickwar of Cumming, GA, Wanda Causseaux  (Bruce Caster) of Loudonville, NY and Catherine (Bruce) Toal of Sidney, OH; nine grandchildren, Rick Lickwar, Peter Lickwar, Amy Sykes, Suzanne Caster, Jonathan Toal, Antonio Ibarra, Kristina Passavanti, Zach Toal and Lilly Toal and three great grandchildren, Haily Sykes, Hayden Sykes and Dana Ibarra.

Charlene, also affectionately known as "Mrs. C" or "Mama C" was a lover of God from an early age. She and Orlis, her husband raised their children in Tallahassee and were members of Trinity Methodist Church. She was the bookkeeper for their business, Causseaux Appliances, for many years before their move to Balsam Grove, NC to be involved in full time ministry at Living Waters for the next 40 years. For the last year and a half she lived with her daughter, Catherine, and her family in Sidney, OH and peacefully passed into her forever home.

Memorial services in Tallahassee, FL and Balsam Grove, NC are to be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to:
