Amy Yancey Obituary

AMY MARIE YANCEY, 28, of Sidney passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 10:33 AM at her residence. She was born on January 1, 1990 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of Matthew Yancey and Elizabeth (Douglas) Slone.

She is survived by two sisters, Mathia Yancey of Piqua and Tiara Hicks of Sidney and step-father, Tony Slone.


Amy graduated from Apollo Career Center in Lima with a Message Therapy License. She was an avid Bengals fan and enjoyed spending time outside during the fall season. Amy loved spending time with family especially with little James. She was a member of Northland church for over 20 years.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday October 4, 2018 at 12 PM at Cromes - Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney, with Pastor Dave Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call 10 AM up until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Health Hospice in Amy's honor.
