Wayne always made me smile. His positive attitude and contributions to ODOT District Seven are truly missed. I loved his "fighter" approach and believe whole heartedly that's what kept him going for so long. Rest in peace my friend.

Wayne was a huge assistance to me while a Regional Projects Manager at SW Region and he was a joy to work with on the I-75 SR 4 interchange project and Austin Pike, while at CH2M HILL.

He also played a large part in our wining our first ODOT opportunity as BCS, LLC. I am eternally grateful for that.

In all my experiences with him he showed a concern for others and for doing the right thing. His honesty and matter of fact style coupled with a fairly wry sense of humor were his best assets and he will be missed. May God's blessings be with him, his memory and his family.

I had the good fortune to work with Wayne for a few years at ODOT in the late '90's when he traveled to Findlay to help us out as a RW appraisal and acquisition manager. He was a treasure to work with. ...such technical knowledge, common sense approach and willingness to help others as needed!

He left many positive marks. May he rest in peace.

David I couldn't have said it better. Not sure why he was on my mind today. But this is not what I expected to find when I googled Wayne. I remember vividly him describing when he had a heart attack while working with us at NW Region. Remember him fondly for his luv of bluegrass and his smile. RIH WAYNE

I have some good memories of Wayne, playing music with a cheerful spirit and a bright smile. I hope his memory will bring comfort to his loved ones in this time of great loss. The world is a little poorer for the loss of good music, and a good man.

I really enjoyed working with Wayne on several projects. He always seemed to find a solution that would move the project along. I especially enjoyed our commute's to various meeting when Wayne would share many stories of his time with the Department. I played his CD last night and will certainly listen to that music again soon. He shall be missed by all that knew him. May Wayne rest in peace.

I worked with Wayne for many years and always found him to be honest, ethical and approachable. He loved to work with people for a common goal that was bigger than any one of us. He was a great mentor to many at ODOT and was always looking to help folks reach their project goals by working within the program to get the best results. His inspiration will be missed.

I met Wayne in 2000 when we worked together at the Southeast Region Real Estate Office for ODOT. He had a great (and dry) sense of humor and was an all-around nice guy. After we both moved to different district offices, we would chat when the opportunity arose. He always had a cheerful greeting. I am sorry for your loss.
