Walter Ewing

WALTER T. EWING, 97, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Sidney, passed away at 9:45 AM on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Pikes Peak Care Center in Colorado Springs. He was born on May 2, 1920 in Piqua, Ohio, the son of the late Amos and Sarah (Courter) Ewing. On March 3, 1948 he married the former Betty Sturm whom preceded in him death on February 11, 2011.

Walter is survived by three daughters; Nancy Locker of Colorado Springs, Geri Ann Hart of Troy and Patti Jo Schmidt of Sidney, one son-in-law, Joe Maggart of Troy, twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Mr. Ewing was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country proudly during World War II. He was a farmer and also worked at Stolle Corporation retiring in 1990 after 17 years.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 am on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Pearl Cemetery with Rev. Jane Madden officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S.
