Ruth "Boots" Naomi Clawson

RUTH "BOOTS" NAOMI CLAWSON, 92 of  Gahanna, formerly of Sidney, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7:56 PM at Creekside Care Center in Columbus. She was born on March 16, 1925 in Miami County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ida (Dickensheets) Middy.

On June 22, 1943 Boots married Richard C. Clawson Sr. who preceded her in death September 28, 1998. She is survived by two children, Richard C. Clawson II of Georgetown, and Beverly Ressler of Gahanna, three grandchildren, Sarah Clawson, Carrie (Wes) Turner, and Melissa Ressler, and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Mason and Keaton Turner, and Quinton Mitchell. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Clawson, four sisters, Lou Zaboraski, Dorothy Detrick, Norma Danner and Irma Roberts, and one brother, Edward Middy.

Mrs. Clawson was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sidney, and after relocating to Columbus with her daughter, Beverly, she attended Capital City Baptist.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Pastors James Alter and Mark Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery in Houston, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until the hour of service.
