RICHARD JOHN KINSELLA, 64, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 12, 1953 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and June (Hartman) Kinsella.
On March 6, 1998 he married Sharon Kinsella, who survives in Sidney. Also surviving are his children, Coleen (Dan) Myers of Troy, Corey Kinsella of Piqua; four step-children, Ben Brandewie of Sidney, Brandi Brandewie of Cleveland, James (Cheryl) Brandewie of Scottsdale, AZ, and Michael (Erika) Creager of Washington; five grandchildren, Blake and Baylee Leffel, Andrew and Ryan Stringer, and Elijah Vernon; eight step-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Pam) Kinsella of Minster and Robert (Kathy) Kinsella II of Sidney; and sister Melissa (John) Stiver of Sidney. He was preceded in death by daughter, Erin Kinsella and two brothers, Gary and Barry Kinsella.
Mr. Kinsella was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Music was a big part of his life. He was an excellent harmonica player and member of the former "World Shakers" band in Sidney. Richard was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed reading and loved his grandchildren very much.
Richard was a life-time member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where a Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Father Peter Langenkamp officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., on Saturday from 11:30 AM until the time of service.
