Phyllis (Arnold) Corbin

PHYLLIS J. CORBIN, 88 of Sidney, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:11 PM at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. She was born on September 27, 1928 in Troy, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Josephine N. (Werling) Arnold. On December 5, 1948 she married Harry E. Corbin who preceded her in death July 3, 1993.

Phyllis is survived by one son, Gary (Mary Beth) Corbin of Sidney, son-in-law, Phil Miller of Sidney, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended friends and family in Tiffin, Oh. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Miller, one brother, Robert J. Arnold and sister-in-law, Clara Arnold.

Mrs. Corbin was a 1946 graduate of Sidney High School. She was a homemaker, member of Sidney Football Moms, American Legion Post 217 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hat Club, and Board Member of Shelby County Senior Center.

Phyllis loved to travel everywhere with her family and enjoyed going to Canada to fly-in fishing camps. She and Harry would travel to Florida for the wintertime. They also traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, China and Switzerland just to name a few places. She loved going to the Senior Center to meet friends and play cards. She also loved to go out to eat with her senior friends. She was an avid sports fan, especially for the Reds, Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Rev. Arnold Collett officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM.
