Paul R.F. Mays

PAUL "PETE' R.F. MAYS, 71, of Sidney passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 8:35 AM at The Pavilion Rehab and Skilled Care Center. He was born on October 25, 1946 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Paul Ellis and Margaret (Allen) Mays. On August 19, 1967, Paul was married to the former Mary Young, who survives.

He is survived by two children, Paul "Scoot" R.F. (Cindy) Mays II of Piqua and Angela Westgerdes of Sidney; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Paul "Trey" and Lauren; four great-grandchildren, Autumn, Gracie, Mayson and a great-grandchild due in May; three siblings, Chuck Mays of Birch Run, MI, Dale Mays and Evelyn Thayer both of Sidney. Paul was preceded in death by 1 grand-daughter, Pamela Mays.

Mr. Mays was employed by Ross Aluminum for over 32 years in the Avon division. Paul proudly served in the United State Air Force from 1966-1970. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing and traveling the United States. Paul was a avid Cleveland Browns fan and loved playing with his dogs. He was a member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of God.
 
Memorial Services will be held Monday December 4, 2017 at 6 PM at Cromes - Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Rev. Rodney Reynolds officiating. The family has asked friends to dress causal in Browns or Buckeyes attire. Friends may visit from 4 PM up until the time of the service. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Fresenius Kidney Care, The Pavilion or Solid Rock PCG in Paul's honor.
