Patty Ann (Rich) Magoto

PATTY ANN (RICH) MAGOTO, 76, of Sidney passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Brookdale of Troy.
She was born January 23, 1941 from Palestine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Dale and Retha (Mae Flatter) Rich. On June 17, 1961, Patty married her husband of over 50 years, Marvin F. Magoto Sr., in which he preceded her in death April 18, 2017.

She survived by her three children, Cassandra (Jeffery) McCague of New Carlisle, Bryan (Lisa) Magoto of Piqua, and Marvin "Chip" Magoto Jr. (Beth Ebersole Jones) of West Milton; loved like a son, Robert (Shirley) Eck of Sidney; a loving grandma to eight grandchildren, Stephen (Laura) Eck, Chris Eck, Arya Acier,  Jordan Magoto, Courtney (Kyle) Woodward, Blake Magoto, Wyatt Magoto, and Luke Jones; two great-grandchildren, Claire Eck and soon to be Baby Eck; two brothers, Bill Rich of Troy, Robert Lee (Christine) Rich of Henderson, Nevada and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Ida Mae Rich, Emma Lee Christensen and Norma Jean Hoskins.

Patty was a Beautician most of her life . She was best known for her cookies and love of baking. You could find her spoiling her grandchildren and loving them unconditionally. She was a beautiful painter, she always tended to her blooming flower gardens and she was a breast cancer survivor.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11 AM at Upper Valley Community Church, 1400 Seidel Pkwy, Piqua, Ohio 45356, with Pastor Andy Monnin officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Upper Valley Community Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Hospice and Pink Ribbon Girls of Miami County in Patty's memory.
