Lois A. Knaggs

LOIS ANN KNAGGS, 89, formerly of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 2:38 PM at Arlington Court Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Upper Arlington, Ohio.  She was born on December 29, 1927 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Albert Charles and Williamina Rae (Milne) Hadfield.  She was married to Howard Robert Knaggs, who preceded her in death on February 6, 1994.

Lois is survived by two children, Melissa (Richard) Becker of Columbus, OH and Melanie (Russell) Rankin of Gathersburg, MD; two grandchildren, Richard G. Becker and Kyle R. Becker; and one sister, Sue Tallon of New Brighton, PA.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Hovey.

Mrs. Knaggs was a life-long educator, working for the Sidney City School System most of her career.  She earned her degree in math after attending Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia and then graduating from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.  Lois and her late husband, Howard were faithful members of the First Presbyterian Church in Sidney.  She was also an active member of the Book and Travel Club in Sidney. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Sidney, with Rev. Diana Circelli officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, from 3:00 to 5:00PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S.
