Linda Miller

September 1, 1951 ~ May 14, 2017 (age 65) 65 Years Old

LINDA KAY (CORBIN) MILLER, 65, of Sidney, passed away at 6:26 PM on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born on September 1, 1951 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry Corbin and Phyllis (Arnold) Corbin whom survives in Sidney.

On September 16, 1978 Linda married Philip Miller whom survives in Sidney. Also surviving her are two step-children, Christian and Kimberly, one brother, Gary (Mary Seger) Corbin and two sisters-in-law, Sue Ann Jarrels and Miriam Miller.

Mrs. Miller's professional career was in the trucking industry starting with General Highway Express and later with KBT, both in Sidney. At one point she worked through a temporary staffing agency in Sidney and was chosen employee of the year at their Dayton regional conference.

After leaving the broader workplace, Linda turned to caring for children at home. She served several families over time, caring for each child as if they were her own, most recently, Abbey, Addison, and Alena. This was her greatest reward in life.

Mrs. Miller was active in the community in her younger years, coaching girls youth softball in the Sidney Electric girls summer program. She was a long time member of the Clinton Sunshine Homemakers, serving as club President for many years.

Linda was very talented with crafting; especially hand work such as intricate needle point, knitting, crocheting and the lost art of tatting. She always had a selection of knitted baby afghans ready for new arrivals. She was also an accomplished seamstress and provided alterations.

At an early age, Linda's family introduced her to fishing at Canadian fly-in camps. That was a great joy to her as well as the Disney parks and cruises in which she could never outgrow.

Linda was a very active in her church, serving as chairperson of the congregational nurture committee and also an active Deacon for nearly twenty years. She will be sorely missed by her church family.

Linda was a member of Trinity Church of The Brethren where Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 with Rev. Arnold Collett officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 - 7 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave. Sidney.
