JOHN E YORK, 68, of Sidney passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at 5:40 AM at Sidney Care Center.
He was born on October 27, 1949 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Waldo and Ruth (Hickenbottom) York, who survives.
He is survived by seven children, Kenneth, Brian, John, Shannon, Jason, Travis and Jamie; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five siblings, Judy Schweitzer, Roger York, Phyllis Reed, Cynthia Brandewie and Kathy Cathcart. John was preceded in death by one daughter, Missy and one brother, Richard.
Mr. York was self-employed as a Construction Worker for many years. John enjoyed listening to country music and loved being in the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Sidney.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family Sunday December 17, 2017 at the American Legion, 1265 4th Avenue Sidney at 1:30 PM. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. Condolences may be expressed to the York family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
