James Allen Elmore

JAMES ALLEN "SMURF" ELMORE, 45, of Sidney passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born on March 19, 1972 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Tommy Demarcus and Marsha Ann (Elmore) Boyer. James is survived by his fiancée, Angie Ballard.

He is survived by eight children; Ashia Elmore, Daniel (Melody) Little, Brenton (Katie) Little, Paige Little all of Sidney, Kassy Frost and Ryan Boyer of Wapakoneta and Josh and Justin Lyon of Santa Maria, CA; two grandchildren, Kambria Shoe and Carter Morrison and four siblings. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents and one uncle.

Mr. Elmore was employed by D & T Trucking as a Dump Truck Driver. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the VFW Post 4239. He spent his free time working on cars and was a very hard worker who always provided for his family. James especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved the Lord, in which he was an ordained minister. He was a member of First Christian Church in Sidney. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 28, 2017 at 12 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio with Full Military Honors. Friends may call from 10 AM up until the time of the service.
