Helen J. Anderson

HELEN JEAN ANDERSON, 88, of Sidney, passed away at 4:19 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1929 in Russellville, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Glaze) Laycock. On October 29, 1949 Helen married Thomas A. Anderson whom preceded her in death on January 11, 2015.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Cheri (Michael) Clayton of Sidney and Annette Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida, two grandchildren; Melissa (Omar) Lozano of Sidney and Matthew (Yolanda) Clayton of Sidney, six great-grandchildren; Gabrielle, Caleb and Hannah Lozano, Samantha, Julianna and Isaac Clayton, two sisters, Shirley Baird of Virginia and Virginia Mann of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine White.

Mrs. Anderson was retired from the Shelby County Auditor's Office where she had worked as a clerk. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Sidney. Helen was an experienced seamstress. Because she was family-centered she created many wonderful memories. She was beloved by all.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave. Sidney with Pastor Chad Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 12:30 PM - until hour of service.
