Hazel C. (Henderson) Jones

HAZEL C. JONES, 89 of Sidney, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at 5:25 PM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. She was born on January 30, 1929 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jesse and Dellar (Martin) Henderson. On June 12, 1944 she married Ralph Jones who preceded her in death March 31, 2005.

Hazel is survived by three children, Norman E. (Joann) Jones, Tess Gross, and Rita (Ronald) Taylor all of Sidney, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Virginia E. Davis, grandson, Colby Gross, and son-in-law, Larry Gross.

Mrs. Jones worked as a machinist for Copeland Corporation before retiring in 1983 after 11 years of service. She was a member of Calvary United Baptist Church in Sidney.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Pastor David Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 7 PM.
