George William Dade

GEORGE WILLIAM DADE, 66, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 following a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Jolane (Dadisman) Dade and their son Joshua (Amy) Dade, and daughter Joanna (Kraig) Wooddell and six grandchildren, Micah, Josie, Matthew, Eli, Sophia, and Ruth.

He was born May 25, 1951 in Canton, Ohio to the late S. George Dade and Virginia Dade Whitcomb. He is survived by six sisters and one brother and preceded in death by one sister. He attended the University of Akron where he met his wife Jolane and they were married on September 18, 1971. George was the Senior Systems Analyst at Emerson Climate Technologies for the past 28 years and an Adjunct Professor at Edison State Community College.

He spent many years teaching Sunday School classes and serving on Church Boards. He was often found reading his Bible and listening to gospel music. He attended Ginghamsburg Church. His six grandchildren were his pride and joy and he took great pleasure in telling everyone he met, about each one of them. His favorite place to enjoy time with his family was at the beach, where they spent many summer vacations together.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11am at Troy Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Barnhart Rd, Troy, Ohio. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
