Frank Pinson

FRANK PINSON, 91, of Sidney went to be with the Lord peacefully Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1 PM at Ohio Living Dorothy Love in Sidney. He was born on September 9, 1926 in Fort Gay, West Virginia, the son of the late Jerry and Martha (Dawson) Pinson. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, the former Betty Jean Whitt October 1986. On June 7, 1996, Frank married the former Mabel Saylor, who survives.

He is survived by five children, Michael (Kathy) Pinson and Steven (Pam) Pinson both of Sidney, David (Kathy) Pinson of Nashville, TN, Don (Marge) Blair of SC and Jan (Bill) Byram of AZ; ten grandchildren, Michelle (Scott) Tidwell, Kim (Mike) Titus, Bev (Mark) Beard, Amy (Andy) Murray, Priscilla (Josiah) Lockard, Chad (Jackie) Allen, Seth (Kim) Allen, Luke (Kristin) Allen, Melissa Sowers and Melinda (Josh) Hopkins and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by five siblings, Virginia Wheeler, Nancy Walls, Marge Turner, James Pinson and Ralph Pinson and one granddaughter, Stephanie Pinson.

Mr. Pinson retired after 40 years from Baumfolder as a Receiving Clerk. He proudly served in the United States Navy during 1945-1947. Frank enjoyed making crafts, gardening and spending time with his family. He loved to eat biscuits and gravy. Frank would use bible verses and make his own thoughts out of the scripture.

He was a member of  First Church of the Nazarene in which a funeral service will be held Wednesday April 11, 2018  at 1 PM at the church with Rev. Chad Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow with military honors performed by the United States Navy at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. Friends may call 11 AM up until the time of the service.
