Delbert E. Lett

DELBERT E. LETT, 78, of Maplewood, passed away at 6:40 AM Monday, December 18, 2017.  He was born on November 18, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Richard E. and Rose (Wardlaw) Lett. 

On June 27, 1964 he married Linda L. Powell, who survives along with four children, Rick (Cindy) Phillips , Cheryl Teasley, both of Sidney, Gary (Julie) Lett of Bellefontaine, and Todd Lett of Maplewood; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce Cox of Athens, TN, and Sylvia (Paul) Yeager of Tipp City.  He was preceded in death by son, Larry Lett, brother, Richard O. Lett, and sister, Barbara Steele.

Mr. Lett was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1962-65.  He was retired from Sidney Truck after more than 30 years of service as a truck driver.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing when he was able, and playing cards with friends.  Delbert helped raise his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them and the rest of his family whenever he could.  He will be dearly missed.
