CHARLEY BINGHAM, 89, of Piqua, passed away at 7:33 PM on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. He was born on October 20, 1927 in Scalf, Kentucky, the son of the late Will and Sarah (Messer) Bingham. On September 27, 1947 he married Daisy Messer and she preceded him in death on July 10, 2013.
Charley is survived by three children; Carolyn (David) Jones of Sidney, David (Karen) Bingham of Piqua and Vonda (Rich) Allen of Piqua, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four children, five sisters and one brother.
Mr. Bingham was retired from Copeland Corporation after 38 years. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and watching westerns. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave. Sidney with Pastor Bill Halter officiating. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Lockington. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 7 PM at the funeral home.
