I can not begin to tell you all how very sad I am for each and every one of you! Tom was such a wonderful person,and my father Mike Shiple absolutely loved him! They only had a couple times to chat,however there was quite a connection with the two. I have to believe that he has joined all of the wonderful spirits up in heaven,and all of you will again be reunited one day.Until then lean on each other and God for your strenghth,it will be okay!

That's quite an obituary for quite a guy. I especially enjoyed the reference to him offering advice to sports officials since he officiated some of my early football games. I appreciate his role as a founding member of VESPA which is still alive and well. Many Sidney fans will pause to remember Tom tonight when the Yellow Jackets head to Piqua. Thanks Tom and my best to your family. Let's remember Tom with the words of our fight song..."never let that spirit die."
