Albert J. Ellis, Jr.

ALBERT J. ELLIS, JR. 70, of Anna, passed away at 1:35 AM Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at his residence.  He was born on July 10, 1946 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Albert and Betty (Gates) Ellis, Sr.

On September 26, 1968 he married Elizabeth "Emily" Wyman, who survives him along with two children, Jenny (Jeff) Francis, and Brian (Berri) Ellis, both of Sidney; and five grandchildren, Logan, Aaron, and Emma Francis, and Lilliana and Meggan Ellis. 

Mr. Ellis was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1965-1969.  Prior to the Navy, he served 18 months in the National Guard.  Albert was retired from Clopay Transportation where he worked as a truck driver for 35 years.  He was a member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217.  Albert was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed tailgating at the Horse Shoe with friends and family as often as he could.  He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and trips to Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach with his family.  Most of all Albert loved family gatherings, spending time with those who meant the most to him.

In following with Albert's wishes, no services will be held.  Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S.
