With the recent addition of the Cromes Funeral Home "Crematory", we can now offer you a much lower cost alternative to the Traditional Funeral Service at an even greater savings. Our own on-site facility will afford us the opportunity to offer this alternative at a greater cost savings to you than before. Cremation provides an alternative to traditional funeral services yet still allows the option of visitation and funeral services should they be selected. Options for the ashes of the cremated human remains include earth burial on the family plot, scattering of the ashes, placement in an urn, or to be placed in a columbarium niche or other location.
Cremation with Memorial Service
This choice includes Basic Cremation, and also offers a memorial service or visitation with a memorial service to be held after the cremation.
Basic Cremation
Is the simplest form of disposition, and includes no ceremonies or rites. It takes place only after obtaining a signed death certificate from the attending physician, along with a signed authorization from the authorized agent of the deceased. In the State of Ohio there is a twenty-four hour waiting period after time of death before cremation can be performed since cremation is irreversible.
